Brad Henkel is a trumpeter and composer from the United States currently based in Berlin, Germany. He studied jazz trumpet in Los Angeles with Bobby Shew and Clay Jenkins, and improvisation and composition with Jeff Kaiser and John Fumo. He also studied improvisation with Tony Malaby, Ralph Alessi and other staples of the New York scene. In 2011, he co-founded Prom Night Records, an artist-run record label based in the United States. He is a member of the KIM Collective, Moneyfriends, Warble, SPOILER and many others.
With a primary focus on improvisation, using a broad color palette of pitched and unpitched sounds, he creates and participates in music that is rooted in the Jazz, Contemporary Classical, and Echtzeitmusik traditions. His work integrates composition and improvisation with new and innovative instrumental techniques and performance art. He maintains a busy schedule performing contemporary and improvised music in venues throughout the United States and Europe.

Kriton Beyer is a Greek-German musician and composer, who – as a performer and improviser – mainly works with the harmonium and the daxophone. He studied musicology in Greece where he collaborated with a variety of local music groups as well as musicians like Sakis Papadimitriou and Floros Floridis.
In 2004 he moved to Berlin, where he got heavily involved in the improvised music scene of the city.
Since then he has worked with many musicians like Phil Minton, Audrey Chen, Steve Noble, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Axel Dörner, Liz Kosack, Kresten Osgood, Tristan Honsinger, Tomomi Adachi, Richard Scott, Willi Kellers, Matthias Bauer, Antonis Anissegos, Olaf Rupp, Alexei Borisov, Els Vandeweyer, Harri Sjöström, Nicola Hein and Liz Allbee, dancers like Yuko Kaseki and visual artists like Akiko Nakayama. Kriton Beyer founded the “FRAGMENTATION ORCHESTRA“, is a member of the electroacoustic trio “uproot” and the ensembles “Redox Reaction” and FDBK EXPT.
In his work with the harmonium, Kriton Beyer uses both the natural sound of his instrument and “traditional” playing techniques as well as preparations, objects and extended techniques, while his daxophone play is characterized by a very personal musical and sonic aesthetic, and an unconventional technique, sometimes also supported by the subtle use of electronics. As an improvising musician, he has performed throughout Europe. His compositions are usually characterized by conceptualism.
Kriton Beyer has also conceived and commissioned the music software CinePrompt®, which was specially developed for the use for live musical performance and live recording to films.
Kriton Beyer also manages the record label “The Procrustean Bed”, dedicated to Experimental & Improvised Music.

Dan Peter Sundland is a Norwegian electric bass player and composer active in the jazz and improvising scenes in Norway and Berlin. His playing is set apart by his expressive, wide-ranging playing techniques, including cello-like bowing and a varied palette of percussive colors.
His discography includes compositional work for his own eleven-piece Elevenette, the Berlin based improvising quartet Home Stretch and sideman work with Clara Haberkamp’s piano trio, Arne Torvik’s fusion band Northwestern sounds and more.
Dan Peter was born in Oslo, Norway, started playing bass at age 14, and studied with bass players Andreas Bergsland and Mattis Kleppen. He attended the jazz department of Sund Folk College 2005-06 and attained a bachelor’s degree in performing jazz at the jazz department of NTNU Music Institute in Trondheim in 2010. A European Jazz Master’s degree (EUJAM) at the jazz department of NTNU Music Institute in Trondheim with exchange to Berlin Jazz Institute (Spring 2012) and Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen (Fall 2012) followed in 2013.
Teachers include Bjørn Alterhaug, Mattis Kleppen, Ole Morten Vågan, Mats Eilertsen, Michael F. Duch and Tor Haugerud.
Sundland received the Geir Digernes memorial award in 2012 and Sparebank1 Jazz Talent Award 2013 and was nominated for ECHO Jazz Newcomer of the year 2017 with Clara Haberkamp trio.
He has been featured with musicians including Jim Black, John Hollenbeck, Axel Dörner, Tobias Delius, Hans Hulbækmo, Hanna Paulsberg, Eirik Hegdal, John Pål Inderberg, Tor Haugerud and many others.

Payman Abdali (a.k.a. Banafsh, IO -Music, Paiman, Paymon) is an Iranian composer. Abdali finished high school in Las Vegas, Nevada, and graduated from California State University of Sacramento in 1990. In 1987 he gave the first „Electronic Music Recital“ at CSUS, starting his professional musical activities. In 1989, he co-founded the music production company XDOT25 in San Francisco, CA. Abdali composes music for films and plays, and performs as an artist and will present his most recent work Music for Black Sine Wave on 5 December 2023 at the Zwitschermaschine.
